Media and the Circular Economy: challenges, (mis)perceptions and opportunities

DATE: 13 October, 4pm – 5pm CET

ORGANIZERS: REVOLVE Circular and Thomson Media | Thomson Foundation

Are you a journalist with an interest in reporting circular economy stories or have already done so? Do you represent an organization that knows about the importance of media and wishes to contribute to better reporting on resource challenges and the transformation from a linear to a circular economy? Are you interested in a powerful circular narrative because you believe it’s necessary?

This event is for you!

REVOLVE Circular and Thomson Media | Thomson Foundation have joined forces to help media professionals understand better what the circular economy is (and isn’t) and what compelling storytelling on the circular economy can look like. Join us as we take a look at common mistakes by the media and where it has been sleeping on using the circular economy narrative as a way to tell the bigger story.

What can you expect?

We’ll keep it short and relevant by providing insights on ongoing media monitoring of circular economy reporting in various languages and taking a behind-the-scenes look at a circular economy story, presented by the journalist who produced it. We also want to hear from the audience in short feedback segments as well as in a brief Q&A towards the end of the session.
